Time Studio Final-Public Art/Bomb Scare

I created a sculpture around a clock radio so that it would play a sound piece in a public place. That public place was the dining hall but my project attracted some unwanted attention when someone called the police thinking it was a homemade bomb. The bomb squad was called, the area blocked off, and the adjacent streets were shut down. When I saw what was going on, I tried to clear things up and I got questioned by an angry cop for an hour. Here's the piece that started this whole thing (I'm not sure how many bombs are made of sponge, rope, and fur) and a sneaky video I took of the first few minutes of the confrontation with the police officer:

Space Research-Architectural Modification (wood bending)

in the wee hours of the morning when you find out you underestimated gravity, you're sometimes forced to resort to duct tape.

XYZ Research Project-3D Sketches

Space Research-Bruce

Assignment: 24"x 48"piece of plywood, make 8-12 cuts and assemble into an abstract shape that defies the xyz axis.

This is Bruce, he is quite manly with his duct tape, plywood and painted plaid except to those who think his lumberjack plaid reminds them of textiles. Which is only one person.

Space Research-Inflatables

made of painter's plastic and duct tape, then inflated. its about 9 feet tall so people can walk through and sit inside.
